We are looking for a customer-oriented, motivated individual to join our professional team as a Class 1 Driver at our Slave Lake location. 

As a Class 1 Driver for Falcon Rentals, you will perform all duties as a driver as well as assist with shipping and receiving duties, shop organization, and equipment maintenance and repair. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position works approximately 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities. 

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities:

• Deliver company equipment and rentals to customers at their location 
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered equipment and collect payment for services when required; submit documentation to manager
• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order
• Conduct minor maintenance tasks on commercial vehicles as needed
• Provide support and ensure customer satisfaction during delivery of rental equipment
• Clear and effective communication with staff and customers 
• Promote company image through excellent customer satisfaction
• Complete necessary paperwork for vehicle inspections
• Maintain proper documentation throughout the equipment rental process and internal safety controls
• Bring a positive energy to the branch to help maintain and improve morale of the team day to day
• Other duties or tasks as assigned by your manager or management team

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Qualifications:

• Valid Class 1 Alberta Driver’s License with clean abstract
• Minimum 3 years driving experience and equipment hauling
• Competent with manual transmission
• Physically fit and able to lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, weather, and road conditions
• Ability to follow verbal directions as well as written company and safety procedures
• Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs and perform repairs
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrates a professional demeanour and positive attitude
• Can work together with a team and provide each other support
• Safety requirements: First Aid, TDG, H2S would be an asset

Salary: 

Compensation negotiable and dependent on experience.
