Telescopic vs articulating — which do you need?

Telescopic (straight) boom lifts extend directly outward and upward in a straight line — delivering maximum horizontal reach and working height. Best suited for open outdoor jobsites where you need to reach out over obstacles or access elevated work areas from a distance. Common on construction sites, industrial facilities, and large commercial projects.

Articulating boom lifts feature multiple boom sections that bend and pivot — allowing the operator to reach up and over obstacles, work in tighter spaces, and position the platform with more flexibility. Ideal for maintenance work on complex structures, work near obstacles, and applications where a straight-line approach isn't possible.
