We are looking for a customer-oriented, motivated individual to join our professional team as a Class 5 Septic Truck Operator at our Peace River branch. This position will report to the Branch Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Drive, operate, and service company septic vacuum truck

• Deliver, remove, and service portable toilet units for customers at their location 

• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered equipment and collect payment for services when required; submit documentation to manager

• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order

• Conduct minor maintenance tasks on commercial vehicles as needed

• Provide support and ensure customer satisfaction during delivery of rental equipment

• Clear and effective communication with staff and customers 

• Promote company image through excellent customer satisfaction

• Complete necessary paperwork for vehicle inspections

• Maintain proper documentation throughout the equipment rental process and internal safety controls

• Bring a positive energy to the branch to help maintain and improve morale of the team day to day

• Other duties or tasks as assigned by your manager or management team

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivery and pick up of equipment & accessories to customers at their location

• Coverage as required for other staff absences and other duties and responsibilities as required

What You’ll Bring to the Team

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract, Class 3 considered an asset

• Q Certification - Air Brakes Certificate of Completion

• Equipment Delivery Experience an Asset 

• Physically fit and able to lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs)

• Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, weather, and road conditions

• Ability to follow verbal directions as well as written company and safety procedures

• Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs and perform repairs

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Demonstrates a professional demeanor and positive attitude

• Can work together with a team and provide each other support

• Safety requirements: First Aid, TDG, H2S would be an asset

Salary: 

From $21 / hour, dependent on experience.
